This summer we learned that our beautiful, historic side entrance to the Church was overtaken by termites, which caused significant damage to the exterior doors, interior doors, closet area and surrounding wood work and framing, along with the covered awning.
A contractor who is a former parishioner, Holy Name of Jesus School alumnus, and master carpenter, has been hired to make the necessary repairs and restore our doors to their original state. We are pleased to say that the termite situation is under control, and there is no more infestation at this time.
The total cost of the project is $70,000, for which the parish is responsible. We are asking parishioners to consider giving to our Church Door Repair Fund to help offset this cost. A second collection will take place the weekends of September 27, October 4 and October 11.
Online donations can be made through our website or parish app by selecting the "Church Door Repair Fund." We thank you for your generosity!
