 Donations needed for Archdiocesan deficit

 We have a deficit to the Archdiocese of New Orleans.  Any help with helping us meet this responsibility would be greatly appreciated.  To make a donation, please mail check to Holy Name of Jesus Church,  6220 LaSalle Place, New Orleans, LA  70118 and write "Special Collection" on the envelope.

 Altar Servers

Also known as Acolytes
Children 4th Grade and up are trained for serving at the Altar at Holy Name. Three servers are assigned for each Mass - a cross-bearer and two candle-bearers. Brother and sister teams of three are welcome! For more information contact Buddy Noel at 861-7432.

CCD
CCD classes are for children in Grades K through 8th who do not attend Catholic schools. Classes for Grades K-6 are held on Sunday mornings. Grades 7-8 meet as part of the high school program on Sunday nights. Classes are held from September through May.


Children's' Liturgy of the Word
Each Sunday at the 10:30 A.M. mass Holy Name offers the Liturgy of the Word for children up to the 3rd grade. Children are dismissed before the first reading and return after the creed. Anyone interested in volunteering as a catechist for the children's' liturgy should contact the parish center office.

HOLY NAME YOUTH MINISTRY
Mission Statement:
The young people of Holy Name are called to celebrate youth in the Church by sharing in spiritual, service, and social activities, carrying on Jesus' mission to reach out to all the world.
Dues: $20.00/year

Membership: Eighth - 12th Grade
